Ready For Life Work and Life Skill Services provides work and life skill training for individuals experiencing cognitive, learning, or social disabilities. Work and life skills are developed through volunteerism, community integration and interactive lessons which enable each person to achieve their individualized goals.
Skill Building provides an inclusive environment which allows individuals access to numerous volunteer sites providing them with varied and diverse work experiences. These services seek to assist individuals in their transition toward independence and employability.
Choice is a key and unique aspect of RFL Skill Building as individuals have the opportunity daily to choose volunteer sites and community enriching experiences. Ready For Life believes that choice is an important part of fostering a stronger self-image and empowers individuals toward independence.
Funding can be provided through Network 180, or Ottawa County Mental Health for individuals approved for Skill Building Services.
Services are available Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. An individual may come full or part-time.
